• The Support for Statistical Strengthening’ (SSS)  is an ongoing Sub – scheme of the Ministry which aims to improve the statistical capacity and operations of State Statistical Systems for collecting, compiling and disseminating reliable official statistics. The Sub - scheme enables States / UTs to undertake statistical activities of considerable importance for which state funding is not available and also ensures that the statistical activities which are considered important by Centre are also strengthened.

The Integrated Finance Division (IFD), headed by Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor (AS&FA) and supported by Director/ Deputy Secretary (Finance) and Controller of Accounts looks after the budget, finance and internal audit of the Ministry.

Infrastructure and Project Monitoring Division (IPMD)

The Infrastructure & Project Monitoring Division (IPMD) is the Project Management arm and apex monitoring institution of the Government of India. It performs triple role in monitoring the implementation status of central sector projects costing more than Rs 150 Crores in infrastructure sectors and performance of key 11 infrastructure sectors. The IPMD brings out several analytical reports.
