Invitation of comments on

Guidelines for Data Dissemination

(in accordance with NDSAP, 2012)

In accordance with the “National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy (NDSAP), 2012” formulated by Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has laid down Guidelines for Data Dissemination to define sharable and non-sharable data generated by the MoSPI, to specify the terms and conditions for its dissemination and pricing. The objective of these guidelines is to make available national statistics to the widest possible community, and where appropriate, with a choice of format, helping users to get what they want simply and quickly. These guidelines apply to all data compiled by MoSPI and the data derived from the statistics received from various Ministries/Departments by MoSPI.

2.         The draft Guidelines for Data Dissemination of MoSPI is being placed on the website of this Ministry. Comments from public and stakeholders are invited on these Guidelines. The comments may be sent by e-mail to reena.singh@nic.in and sri.susmit@nic.in, latest by 2nd June, 2017.
